One of the objectives of Aluminum Transactions journal is to recognize eminent individuals in the aluminum research arena and to introduce them to the aluminum community. Thus, each year Aluminum Transactions confers five gold medal awards to the authors of five outstanding papers published in the preceding year of the journal.
