Professor Toshiro Kobayashi |

Professor Kobayashi earned his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Hokkaido University in 1972. He has made fundamental contributions towards the understanding and measurement of the strength and toughness of materials. Dr. Kobayashi's innovations in materials science and engineering have been well recognized internationally. Professor Kobayashi is also the editor of the
International Journal of Materials & Product Technology. He is an honorary Professor at Northeastern University (China). Dr. Kobayashi has been appointed to serve as a chairman of the Department of Production Systems Engineering beginning in April 1999. He is the author of more than 440 publications and presentations.Honors and Awards:
