Professor Sung-Hak Lee

Professor Lee earned his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Brown University (USA) in 1985. He is a distinguished professor and has made important contributions toward the understanding of the microstructure and fracture mechanism of aluminum composite materials. Professor Lee is the author of more than 85 scientific publications and presentations.

Research Interests:

Dynamic fracture and deformation behavior, P/M and cast processing of Al-SiC composites, fracture mechanism of Al-SiC composites and Al-Li alloys, toughening mechanism of structural ceramics and composites, fracture analysis (modeling) of structural materials, surface alloying using high-energy electron-beam.
