Loewy Professor of Materials Forming and Processing
Materials Science and Engineering Department
Professor Misiolek earned his Sc.D. degree with honors in Metallurgy at the University of Mining and Metallurgy (Krakow, Poland) in 1985. He is the director of the Institute of Metal Forming at Lehigh University. Professor Misiolek has also served as the co-director of the Aluminum Processing Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1992 to 1997. Professor Misiolek has made numerous contributions in the areas of aluminum forming and processing. His research results have been successfully translated into many industrial applications. His experiences in independent research project management and teaching in the field of materials science and engineering have been well recognized internationally. Professor Misiolek is the author of more than 70 publications, 140 presentations and 1 patent.
