Professor Harald A. Øye |

Professor Øye earned his Doctor of Technology degree at Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1964. He is the head of strong point center at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Light Metals Technology. Professor Øye is very active in the aluminum community and he has made fundamental contributions in the areas of primary and secondary aluminum and carbon technology. His research has led to a large number of practical results in aluminum processing and applications. Professor Øye is the author of more than 300 publications, and presentations.

Research Interests:
Applied research on electrowinning of aluminum and magnesium, production and refining of silicon, carbon technology, fertilizer technology, transport properties of hydrocarbon system, thermodynamic, transport properties and spectroscopy of molten salts and high temperature systems.
