Articles reporting the results of original research or industrial experience.

Letters providing comments or discussions of papers published in the journal.

Reviews that are topical and prepared by experts in the particular field of aluminum.

Technical notes giving the results of outstanding novel findings and significant developments in product or process. 

The authors of all the articles will receive immediate acknowledgment of receipt of their manuscript. All contributions submitted will be refereed.

Gold Medal Awards

One of the objectives of Aluminum Transactions journal is to recognize eminent individuals in the aluminum research arena and to introduce them to the aluminum community. Thus, each year Aluminum Transactions confers 5 gold medal awards to the authors of 5 outstanding papers published in the preceding year of the journal. 

 

Preparation of Contributions

Manuscripts should be typed, with double line spacing throughout.

An abstract and a list of up to four keywords should be provided.

SI units should be used with other units in parentheses if desired.

Pages and illustrations should be numbered, respectively.

Photographs should be of high contrast.

Micrographs must have internal scale bars.

Color reproduction of figures is possible.

The name of the corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk. Where possible, his or her telephone, fax number and e-mail address should be given on a separate page.

A personal photo, short biography and current affiliation of the correspondence author(s) may be included for publication.

To expedite publication and ensure accuracy, authors are encouraged to provide an e-mail or computer diskette of the paper in a format that can be edited.

References should be numbered in square brackets as they are introduced in the text. They should be arranged and punctuated as shown below.

 Proofs and Reprints

Manuscripts will be typeset to conform to the format and style requirements of the journal. Authors will be given the opportunity to approve the edited version of their manuscript.

Author(s) will receive a total of 20 reprints free of charge. There is no page charge.
